One of the women at our facility has attended your church and we wanted to come speak to you about a possible mentor for her. I am not allowed to give names until she is working directly with a mentor. Volunteers of America works with the Harris County Substance Abuse Rehab Probation Facility in Humble area. Through the Second Chance Grant from the Criminal Justice Center in Washington DC we provide mentors to mothers in the program who desire to have mentors and are looking to create new lives for themselves and their children. The reason we contact the churches the women who have family member in is so they might be able to have a mentor from the church and church support as the are released back into society. We are finding the mentors and church support help these women develop better choices for their lives and their children.
Would you please call me so I can come by and speak with you about this matter.
Sharing Joy,
